By using terrible graphics and themes that are akin to those of Sonic's Schoolhouse, IM Meen, and 3D Dinosaur Adventure, the game is a parody of educational video games that were popular in the 1990s. On March 31, 2018, Baldi's Basics was first made available for download as a beta version for both macOS and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. Baldi's Basics Plus, the complete version of this game that includes its core gameplay as well as additional features, was made available for early access on June 12, 2020.
Due to the fact that he was running late and "rehearsing," the friend of the main character lost seven notebooks at the school in the neighborhood.
