인텔의 새로운 DDR chipset인 인텔 845 B0 ( 이전의 845D 또는 Brookdale-D 입니다.) 이 기존의 SDR 칩셋인 인텔 845 A3를 대신하여 이번주부터 팔려지고 있습니다.845B-step 메인보드들은 845 메인보드들의 약간의 업그레이드가 된것이다.
대부분의 메인보드 제조사들은 완성된 제품을 가지고 있었으며, 845B-step 메인보들은 대부분 이번달에 생산을 들어갈예정이며, 단지 인텔에서 12월 16일에 845B-Step 칩셋을 발표할 예정입니다.
인텔 845 BO 현재의 845 칩셋보다 좀더 매력적인 제품이며 이제품은 DDR266 과 SDRAM를 지원합니다. 인텔에서 845 B0 칩셋의 가격을 약US$40 정도로 결정하였으며 기존의 845 A3 칩셋의 생산을 중단할 예정입니다. 인텔의 새로운 845 B0 칩셋은 다른 저렴한 가격의 ALi ALADDiN P4, SiS645 , VIA P4X266A 경쟁할것입니다.

Intel new DDR chipset, the Intel 845 B0 (previously known as 845D or Brookdal
e-D) will start selling this week replacing the current SDR chipset Intel 845 A3. Given that 845B-step boards basically require only some upgrades from the 845 boards, all the motherboard manufacturers have already finished related designs. 845B-step boards are expected to enter mass production this month. However, Intel will only launch the i845 B-Step chipset on 16th of December.
Intel 845 B0 is more attractive than the current 845 chipset as it can support DDR266 as well as SDRAM. Intel has decided to set the price of the 845 B0 at US$40 like the current 845 A3 chipset and will stop production on the 845 A3 chipset. The new Intel 845 B0 chipset will be competing with other lower priced DDR chipsets like ALi ALADDiN P4, SiS645 and VIA P4X266A.
