유니텍전자의 세계시장 진출 프로젝트인 ‘Unitch Global’ 이 지난 3월 궤도에 오르기 시작해 그동안CEBIT, SBS 등의 해외전시회에 참가하며 세계 여러 벤더들에게 제품을 알리고, 인터넷을 활용한 리뷰기사 포스팅을 통해 소비자에게도 제품홍보 활동을 활발히 하고있다.
유니텍전자의 그래픽카드는 해외수출용으로 OPTIMUS(옵티무스)라는 독자 브랜드를 가지고 미주, 유럽, 호주 지역을 주 타겟으로 마케팅을 펼치고 있으며 향후 꾸준히 해외 마케팅에 투자하여 향후 몇년 후 수출비중을 내수비중 못지 않게 끌어올릴 것이라 한다.
이를 위해 이 회사는 연내에 옵티무스라는 자체 브랜드를 널리 홍보하고 지난 2월의 호주 수출건에 이어 2~3건 정도의 추가 수출계약을 이루어 내고자 해외지사망의 인력보강과 홍보활동을 강화하고 있다.
수출에 중점을 두는 전략은 앞으로도 지속되어 그래픽카드 뿐만 아니라 주기판 분야에서도 OEM 생산을 통한 해외진출 방안을 모색중이라고 덧붙였다.

Unitech's Optimus 7500 Ultra simply exceeded my expectations. ATI's drivers have greatly matured over the past few months (but aren't yet up to the same level as Nvidia's). The Radeon 7500 is a great update of the older Radeon DDR and runs today's games great and yesterday's games even better. The image quality is top notch (possibly as good as Matrox's) in 3D and the 2D is crisp at the highest resolution I could test it at (1600x1200x85Hz). Running two displays at once is a great feature and something it does MUCH better than its competition. I wasn't able to test its DVD features, but based on past experiences they are top notch. This card does far more than its $99USD retail price would suggest. If you have an older card, this would make a super upgrade. ……

유니텍전자의 옵티무스 7500 Ultra는 필자의 기대 이사잉었다. ATI의 드라이버는 지난 몇 달동안 크게 향상되었다. Radeon 7500은 Radeon DDR에 비해서 크게 업데이트 되었고, 최신 게임과 구 게임들을 할 수 있다. 이미지 수준은 (Matrox 만큼) 3D와 2D의 최고의 해답인 최상급이었다. 필자는 이것을 1600X1200X85Hz로 테스트 할 수 있었다. 한번에 두개의 디스플레이를 구동하는 건 굉장한 기능이었고, 다른 기능들은 큰 경쟁력을 갖고 있었다. 필자는 DVD 기능을 테스트 할 수는 없었다. 그러나 지난 경험에 의하면 이 기능도 최고 수준이다. 이 카드는 소비자 가격이 US$99 이상으로 예상된다. 만약 당신이 오래된 카드를 사용하고 있으면, 이것으로 슈퍼 업그레이드를 해라.
Unitech Optimus 8500 eXP 128M
Whn all is said and done, I'm pretty impressed with this card. Everything about the card presents a great deal. Performance is great, as long as you don't enable Smoothvision in some of the more intensive games. Anisotropic filtering is a winner with this card, as far as I'm concerned. I've found myself leaving it on in most all my games - Morrowind excluded, of course. I think we'll have to wait for the upcoming technologies from ATI/NVIDIA/Matrox/3DLabs to see performance improvements in Morrowind and other upcoming DX8 games. Until then, the Optimus R8500 eXP 128MB can handle most all games today solidly, and more than likely most upcoming games as well.BGA DDR-RAM onboard.

모든 것을 말하고, 할 수 있는 때! 필자는 이 카드에 크게 감동되었다. 이 카드의 모든 기능은 최고로 출시되었다. 실행은 훌륭했다. 당신이 좀더 당렬한 게임에 Smoothvision을 할 수 없는 한, 필자가가 생각하는 한 Anisotropic 필터링은 이 카드에서 승자다. 필자는 내 모든 게임을 마음대로 했다. 물론 Morrowind를 제외하고는. 지금까지 유니텍전자 옵티무스 8500 eXP 128M는 오늘날 모든 종류의 게임을 완벽하게 할 수 있고, 앞으로의 게임들도 그럴 것이다.

It is certainly nice to see Unitech showing the fortitude to support the hardware enthusiast community with an enhanced video card. The RADEON 8500 processor is a very capable product that offers competitive 3D performance and standard-setting video acceleration. The Optimus 8500’s price may be a little lofty for less casual gamers, but for those who can appreciate the bundle and extra performance, it may be worth the price of admission. After all, this is one of the best Radeon 8500 based cards we've ever seen in the HH Lab.

하드웨어 열광자 모임에 이렇게 강화된 그래픽카드를 제공해준 유니텍전자를 만난 것은 확실이 멋진 것이었다. Radeon 8500 프로세서는 경쟁력있는 3D 성능과 표준 세팅된 비디오 가속기를 제공하는 우수한 제품이다 . 옵티무스 8500의 가격은 일반의 게이머들에게는 약간 높은감이 없지않지만, 번들과 그 뛰어난 성능에 만족을 느끼는 사람들에게는 그 가치를 충분히 가질 것이다. 결론적으로 이것은 여지껏 본 사이트(HH Lab)에서는 본 적이 없는 Radeon 8500 칩에 기초한 가장 우수한 그래픽카드 중 하나인 것이다.
