IDSoft사의 DOOM III가 긴 시간의 개발끝에 정식으로
발매되었고 기존의 다른 게임들에 비해 높은 사양의 그래픽카드를 요구하여 큰 충격을 주었는데 이 게임에서 지원하는 울트라 퀄리티 모드를 제대로
지원하기 위해 필요한 것으로 알려진 512MB 용량의 메모리를 장착한 그래픽카드 제품이 nVIDIA 제품군으로 먼저 출시 될것으로 알려지고
있다.
이 소식은 nVIDIA가 어제 발표한 새로운 정식 드라이버의 정보를
통해 알려진 것으로 nVIDIA가 공개한 ForceWare 최신 버전의 특징을 보면 GPU에서 512MB의 프레임 버퍼를 사용할수 있도록 기능이
수정되었다고 설명되어 있다.
