□ 독일 베를린에서 열린 유럽 최대 가전 전시회 ‘IFA 2014’에서 LG전자 전략 스마트워치 ‘LG G워치R’이 일반에 첫 공개된 가운데, 해외 유력 IT전문매체들이 잇따라 긍정적 평가를 내놓고 있음.
□ GSM아레나(GSMArena)는 “G워치R은 우리가 지금까지 봐왔던 스마트워치 중에 최고(G Watch R is one of the best smartwatches we’ve seen so far)”라고 소개했음.
□ 마셔블(Mashable)은 “아름다운 원형 스크린 덕분에 G워치R은 지금까지 나온 스마트워치 가운데 가장 매력적(it’s the most attractive smartwatch we’ve seen to date, thanks largely to its beautiful circular screen)”이라며 “시중에 나온 대부분의 스마트워치가 전통적인 원형 시계 모양이 아닌 정사각형 혹은 직사각형 외관을 선택해 시계라기 보다는 작은 컴퓨터와 같다면, 완전한 원형 모양의 G워치R은 신선하면서 유행을 선도할 제품(While most smartwatches on the market are square or rectangular ― and look more like a small computer than a traditional round-shaped watch ― LG’s iteration is a refreshing, fashion-forward change)”이라고 평가했음.
□ 디지털 트렌즈(Digital Trends)는 “G워치R은 남녀 모두에게, 손목 굵기에 상관없이 굉장히 매력적이다. 스마트워치 세계에서는 드물게 훌륭한 시계다(The G Watch R is a stunner, no matter what gender you are, or how big your wrist is. It looks like a nice watch, which is something of a rarity in the smartwatch world)”고 평가했음.

□ 테크레이더(Techradar)는 G워치R과 비슷한 원형을 채택한 모토360에 대해 “모토로라는 아마도 뒤늦게 출시한 것을 후회하고 있을 것”(Motorola is probably regretting those delays now)”이라고 평가했음.
□ 안드로이드 폴리스(Android Police)는 “G워치R은 매력적인 안드로이드 웨어러블 기기다. 괜찮은 디자인에 무겁지 않으면서, 우리가 기대하던 기능들도 갖췄다(G Watch R is definitely a compelling Android Wear device. It looks nice, it isn't too heavy, and it has the specs you'd expect from the current generation)”고 소개했음.
